Muscle Deficient Vegan is committed to making our website accessible and usable for as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We work to improve the user experience for everyone and strive to apply relevant accessibility best practices across our content and site functionality.
Accessibility standards we strive to follow
We strive to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as a guiding standard for accessibility and inclusive design. While we may not meet these standards in every area of the site at all times, we use them to help prioritize improvements and reduce barriers for users.
What we’re doing to support accessibility
We actively work to improve accessibility across the site, including (when applicable):
- Using clear headings and page structure to support screen readers and keyboard navigation
- Writing readable, plain-language content wherever possible
- Providing descriptive link text (instead of vague links like “click here”)
- Adding alternative text to meaningful images and graphics
- Supporting sufficient color contrast and readable font sizes
- Supporting keyboard navigation for menus, buttons, and interactive elements
- Using accessible embedded media practices when possible (captions/transcripts when available)
- Testing key pages and templates periodically and addressing issues we find
Known limitations
Even with best efforts, some parts of the site may not be fully accessible. For example:
- Older posts may contain images that do not yet have ideal alternative text
- Some third-party tools, embeds, plugins, or advertising components may not fully meet accessibility standards
- Certain PDFs or downloads may not be fully optimized for screen readers (we can provide an alternative format upon request)
We prioritize improvements based on impact and feasibility and will continue making updates over time.
Third-party content
Some content on Muscle Deficient Vegan may be provided or hosted by third parties (for example: podcast players, video embeds, social media embeds, affiliate widgets, or ad networks). We cannot always control the accessibility of third-party platforms, but we aim to choose options that are as accessible as possible and provide alternatives when feasible.

Ongoing improvements
